中紅外矽光技術與光學式生物晶片之發展

Abstract

In this talk, I would like to share my recent research in the development of mid-infrared SiGeSn silicon photonics and optical biosensors. For the first topic, silicon photonics is an increasingly research topic which fusions electronics and photonics on silicon using CMOS- compatible group-IV semiconductors and processing to create compact and powerful superchips for a wide range of applications. However, the challenges lie on the indirect bandgap of group-IV materials such as Si and Ge that makes it difficult to realize various efficient active photonic devices.
